1. Who We Are
RocketWP (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website https://rocketwp.net (the “Site”). We provide WordPress performance analysis tools, plugin reviews, theme recommendations, and related educational content.
For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at: support#rocketwp.net
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily
When you use our WP Performance Inspector, HTTP Headers Analyzer, WordPress Detector, or Speed Test tools, you submit a URL for analysis. We process this URL to generate performance reports. We do not store the URLs you submit after the analysis is complete — all analysis data is generated in real-time and discarded after the response is sent.
If you contact us via our Support page or email, we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, we automatically collect certain information through standard web server logs and analytics:
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent, and date/time stamps. Nginx server logs are retained for 7 days for security and debugging purposes.
- Analytics: We use Independent Analytics (a privacy-focused, self-hosted WordPress analytics plugin) to track page views and visitor behavior. No personal data is shared with third-party analytics services. We do not use Google Analytics.
- Performance Monitoring: Database query counts and page generation times are logged for internal performance optimization.
2.3 Cookies
Our Site uses minimal cookies:
- Essential Cookies: Session cookies for core functionality (e.g., maintaining your analysis session). These are strictly necessary and do not require consent.
- Preference Cookies: Cookie consent preferences (stored by our CookieYes banner) to remember your cookie choices.
- Analytics Cookies: Independent Analytics uses first-party cookies for basic visit tracking. No cross-site tracking occurs.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or social media pixels on our Site.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Site and tools (URL analysis, performance reports).
- To respond to your support inquiries and messages.
- To analyze Site usage and improve our content and tools.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Our hosting provider (WPX.net) processes server logs as part of their infrastructure. Our CDN (WPX Cloud) may cache static assets.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Third-Party Services
Our tools interact with third-party APIs to generate performance reports:
- Google PageSpeed Insights API: When you run a performance scan, the target URL is sent to Google’s PSI API to retrieve Core Web Vitals and performance scores. This is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Font Awesome CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com): We load icon fonts from Cloudflare’s CDN. Cloudflare may collect standard CDN log data.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
6. Data Retention
- Server Logs: Retained for 7 days, then automatically purged.
- URL Submissions: Not stored. Processed in real-time and discarded immediately.
- Support Messages: Retained for up to 12 months to maintain support history.
- Analytics Data: Stored in our WordPress database indefinitely for trend analysis. You may request deletion.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location (particularly if you are in the EEA, UK, or California), you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Restriction: Request restriction of processing your data.
- Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for cookie usage at any time via our cookie banner.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rocketwp.net. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our Site is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS (SSL certificate).
- Our server is protected by a firewall and regular security updates.
- Access to server logs is restricted to authorized personnel.
- We use Redis object caching and Nginx FastCGI caching for performance, which may temporarily cache page output — no personal data is stored in these caches.
10. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in Singapore (via WPX.net). If you access our Site from outside Singapore, your data may be transferred to and processed in Singapore. By using our Site, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be notified via a notice on our homepage. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
